WASHINGTON -- GovernmentCIO has won three Veterans Affairs contracts with a total value of $318 million to support health and benefits services as well as assisting VA in sharpening its information security policy.
GovernmentCIO was awarded the Health Portfolio Program Management Office and Technical Support contract valued at $170 million. The contract will provide IT program management, project management, technical management, financial management, functional planning, and documentation analysis in support of the Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) Enterprise Program Management Division (EPMD) Health Portfolio.
GovernmentCIO, a high-growth IT transformation firm based in the nation’s capital, will assist with conducting research, insights, synthesis, collaborative design activities, and manage/create design solutions.
Benefits Sustained Managed Services
VA also has awarded GovernmentCIO the $141 million Benefits Sustained Managed Services (BSMS) contract. GovernmentCIO will provide a range of services, including project management and reporting assistance, systems architecture support, engineering support, testing, operations and maintenance (O&M) support, technical support, incident management support, security support, tier two and tier three help desk support, and disaster recovery support services for applications/systems within the benefits domain.
The contract, awarded Aug. 27 with a one-year base and three one-year options, also calls for GCIO to provide support for the decommissioning and transitioning of legacy applications/systems, including data migration services from those systems and applications.
GovernmentCIO will follow an Agile Scrum Methodology in accordance with the Veterans Focused Integration Process (VIP) established by the VA EPMO, and any Benefits Sustainment Managed Services (BSMS) processes that are used to enhance the VIP Agile process.
Information Security Policy Program
GovernmentCIO also won a $7 million contract to support VA’s Information Security Policy Program (ISPP), establishing a world-class policy construct for VA and ensuring that information security (IS) policy documentation complies with federal laws, regulations, standards, and guidance.
Work will include supporting the overarching policy governance program covering standards, guidance, procedures, and memoranda.
