Washington, D.C. – GovernmentCIO (GovCIO), a leading provider of high-end technology and digital services, is proud to announce it has received the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Circle of Excellence and Champions for Heroes Award during its annual Dinner of Gratitude ceremony in Washington D.C. on September 27, 2021.

GovCIO is honored to have earned this recognition from one of America’s foremost veterans service organizations. From its founding, GovCIO has endeavored to transform federal IT in ways that improve the lives of millions nationwide and to provide the best possible services to America’s veterans. Receiving the Circle of Excellence and Champions for Heroes award is a fulfillment of the company’s core values and a reminder of what it strives to provide each day for those who have served this country.

GovCIO was previously awarded the Veterans Legacy Memorial (VLM) project by the Department of Veterans Affairs, and it partnered with DAV to help refine the memorial website in 2019. Since its launch, GovernmentCIO has continued to foster the development of VLM in partnership with VA and DAV to build a platform that honors the lives and memories of America’s veterans.

GovCIO has also partnered with DAV in support of the service organization’s COVID-19 Relief Fund that provided critical support for veterans throughout the pandemic.

“We are honored to be a part of the DAV community. Our commitment to DAV and our veterans has remained resolute, allowing DAV to grow its lineup of free programs and services for those who have given so much to this country,” said Jim Brabston, GovCIO CEO.

GovernmentCIO is proud to continue its partnership with DAV and will remain a critical partner in support of DAV’s mission to provide free, professional assistance to more than 1 million veterans every year.
