GovernmentCIO Hosts its Annual All Hands Retreat

October 20th, 2018

LEESBURG, Va. -- GovernmentCIO hosted its annual All Hands Retreat on October 7-8 here at the Lansdowne Resort. Company leaders spoke about the significant growth the company has seen in the past year. Since last year’s retreat, the company has doubled in size.

The evening kicked off with inspiring and motivating speeches from CEO Brian Moran and COO Bill Giandoni during dinner.

This year’s retreat also featured live music from the GCIO band, a wonderful treat and showcase of company talent as members socialized, enjoyed a bonfire and played games on the outdoor terrace.

The following day consisted of presentations, case studies and growth stories from company leadership from all divisions: Media, Growth, Finance, Delivery, Business Development, Capture and Proposals, Contract, and the company’s four branches of services: Cyber, Digital, Data and IT. Leaders focused their presentations on the employee-centric direction of the company.

And in ongoing efforts to engage geographically dispersed employees, GCIO colleagues worked together to brainstorm and present ways in which GCIO can better integrate employees nationwide. Common ideas ranged from peer mentoring programs to more interactive communications platforms, company-wide volunteer events and more video conferencing.

As always, these retreats allow GovernmentCIO’s employees to meet, interact and network with each other as the company has expanded into 31 states nationwide, and continues to grow and transform government IT.
