Washington, D.C. – Inc. magazine announced Tuesday GovernmentCIO placed No. 64 on its second annual Inc. 5000 Regionals list for fastest-growing companies in the D.C. Metro area.

GovernmentCIO, which grew 175% in two years, is joined by Intuit, Microsoft, Oracle and other notable technology companies on Inc. Magazine’s annual list.

“We’re honored to be recognized on this list. Growth is important because it allows us to take care of the most important asset we have in this company: our people.” said Jim Brabston, GovernmentCIO CEO.

The government services firm specializes in IT transformation as well as digital, data, cybersecurity and Agile services, supporting agencies such as the departments of Veterans Affairs, Health and Human Services, and Homeland Security.

Founded in 2010, GovernmentCIO has combined its experience in the federal space with innovative and disruptive approaches found in technology hubs like Silicon Valley and Austin.

These past two years, the company has seen significant growth at the VA with high-visibility projects with which Veterans directly interact, such as the Veterans Legacy Memorial and Veteran-Facing Service Applications programs. These programs significantly contribute to the VA’s efforts to improve access to critical services and benefits for Veterans through its large-scale digital modernization.

GovernmentCIO has expanded its footprint at HHS and DHS by earning roles on programs including Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Title-8 Agile Software Development and Tier III Software Support Services and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ Security and Privacy Agile Project Management (SPAM) effort.

“We’re going to continue leveraging and improving upon GovernmentCIO’s service delivery and making sure that we’re always providing the best service we can to our customers,” said Kristin Gill, GovernmentCIO COO.
